This schedule takes us back to the first week that CJAY, Channel 7, was on the air. CJAY, now CKY (CTV Winnipeg), was an independent station at this point, as the CTV network had not yet formed. The only other charter CTV affiliates to be on the air at this point were CHAN in Vancouver, and CFRN in Edmonton (still a CBC affiliate at this point). CKCK of course was on the air but it was not a charter CTV affiliate. KCND, Channel 12 in Pembina, was on the air by this point, but the Free Press noted in the listings that KCND had yet to submit its regular programming schedules to the Free Press, and until then they would not be listed. Note also that CBWAT, Channel 8 in Kenora, was programmed separately from CBWT back then. It may have been rebroadcasting a combination of CBWT and CBLT.
