Surprised to see more programs produced in the US than from England and Ireland.

The U.S. is by far the biggest exporter of television around the world. In just about any country I can think of (with the partial exception of some Latin American nations), U.S. productions have the leading share of foreign programming. The United Kingdom tends to be a fairly distant number two, and in Australia, most British programs have traditionally been shown on the public ABC network. Ireland has a population of less than five million, and is pretty much a non-factor in terms of the international television marketplace.
