LOL! And also allow all stations to sign off Monday mornings - wouldn't that be great for a DXer like me! Wish I was around in the 1960s to experience that...

Just wondering if "Heatter Mail" listed at 12:45 P.M. on WKAT 1360 was a 15-minute program featuring mail received by news commentator Gabriel Heatter? He was on the Mutual Network and WKAT, as listed, was a Mutual affiliate. Heatter started on radio in the 1930's, continued into the 1950's and always seemed to find some good news for his show even when there was mostly bad news (such in the early days of World War II). His regular news program was in the early evening and it is shown as being on WKAT at 7:30 P.M. With regards to his mail, Heatter is said to have received mail sometimes with little more on the envelope than his name (no street, city, etc.). It is reported that he once received a letter onwhich the envelope contained only a cutout picture of the angel "Gabriel" and another cutout picture of an electric heater. Such was his prominence in those days.
