Probably would have been St. Louis at San Francisco (1 PM PDT start).

This date was also when Mount St. Helens blew its top.

WREG 3-CBS Memphis

noon NBA Championships: Sixers-Lakers, Game 7 (if necessary)

It wasn't, as the Lakers won the championship in 6 games. Did CBS air anything in its place, or turn the time back over to the affiliates?

WREG aired movies on Sundays in that timeslot.

So KATV didn't think Mr. Goodbar was good enough for primetime? Or content issues, I'm assuming, had something to do with the reason why they chose to show the movie with a less suggestive title like "Hang 'Em High" in its place. :D

The Little Rock channels have had a habit of pulling stunts like that...KTHV has notoriously pre-empted the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the past few years, sometimes shunting it off to one of the LP channels and sometimes not 8)
