Here is the "checkerboard" schedule for WITI's 8:00 AM weekday slot, which each featured ABC's Sunday morning children's programs which they pre-empted for mostly evangalical programs.

M: Bugs Bunny
Tu: Make a Wish
W: Kid Power
Th: Osmonds
F: H. R. Pufnstuf

Our WXIA (WAII and WQXI before that) did the same thing up to 1973.

WITI must have had something local Saturdays at 8 as that's when ABC aired Bugs Bunny.

From my 70s issues of TV Guide:
--KTWO Casper WY would air Saturday morning programs on weekday afternoons; as a triple affiliate, it had plenty of shows to spread around.
--KRDO Colorado Springs would air Sunday morning ABC programs (preempted for religion) at 8am weekdays. But instead of running the 90 minute "Kids Are People Too" intact they cut it into three half hour programs aired Tue to Thurs!
