A few observations;
In general, Saturday TV everywhere, even in New York, depended heavily on stations' film libraries in the late 1950s. You saw older and/or lesser-quality films on weekends, than you would on weekdays (especially in prime time) when local independent stations felt the need to air newer films with bigger stars while competing against network programs that dominated weekday schedules on the city's big 3 O&Os.
In the 1958-59 season (which was in its final weeks as this schedule was printed) Saturday was a strong night for ABC, which offered musical variety shows for nearly everyone's tastes, starting with Dick Clark presenting young pop and rock artists in live performance (often the same ones whose records were featured weekday afternoons on American Bandstand); then Jubilee USA with Red Foley presenting top country artists of the day; finally Lawrence Welk, whose music we all know, for the older generation.
The 11:30 rerun of Circus Boy featured a young actor working under the name of Mickey Braddock; you know him best as Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees.
