In its early years, Ch. 12 practically never pre-empted an ABC
program, and I can remember only one on delay; in the summer
of 1966 "Supermarket Sweep" aired at 4 PM. This was when
Ch. 12 was carrying all ABC programs an hour earlier; "Sweep"
would have interfered with the morning movie at 10 AM (11 AM
EDT), hence the delay, since this was affiliate time for ABC stations
from Virginia northward.

NOTE: "Concentration" and "Jeopardy!" did not assume their more
familiar times of 10:30 AM and 12 N respectively until Sept. 27.
NBC tried a couple of game shows, "Call My Bluff" and "I'll Bet"--
later syndicated as "It's Your Bet"--in the 12-12:55 slot in the
summer of '65, then two morning soaps, "Morning Star" at 11
and "Paradise Bay" at 11:30, starting Sept. 27. Also new on
Sept. 27 was Merv Griffin's second game, "Let's Play Post Office,"
which aired at 12:30 after "Jeopardy!" but was canceled on July 1,
1966.

From what I understand, "Call My Bluff" is still a popular game show
in Britain.
