bp, according to the Vanderbilt TV News Archive site (http://tvnews.vanderbilt.edu/), ABC handled the Watergate hearings that day, with Frank Reynolds anchoring and Sam Donaldson reporting from the Senate meeting area. Indeed, Roger Mudd did the CBS Evening News, but with no report that day on whether Cronkite qualified for the Chesapeake regatta. (!!!)
