WNEO/WEAO in Alliance/Akron also had PBS Kids shows on during the 6:00 hour at that time. At one point (late '90s), WGTE aired Arthur and another PBS Kids show during the 7:00 hour, believe it or not.

In Seattle, KCTS aired 'Bill Nye the Science Guy' at 7pm for a couple of years in the mid-'90s, but I assume the timeslot was to promote family viewing and not so much just for little kids. Not to mention they were the flagship station. Likewise, KBTC (Tacoma) had In the Mix on occasionally at 7pm, which was a teenage-produced show. But for the most part growing up, the 5:00 hour was the transition hour for my local PBS stations. Unlike KCTS, which had the PBS Kids Go block after school for elementary kids, KBTC skewed much younger at the late afternoon hours and ran shows like Teletubbies and Caillou.

KBTC also did not air children's programming on weekends outside of the Bookworm Bunch early Sunday mornings, and the late morning hours were filled with how-to programs and Sit and Be Fit (the latter is still on KBTC to this day!) They did run some obscure PBS Kids programs that KCTS didn't want, including Mythquest and The Toy Castle.

Several odd things about this listing:
- WTOL airing a double run of Andy Griffith at 9 and 9:30am
- Columbus, Zanesville, and Wheeling/Steubenville stations were included, but Lima, Dayton, Detroit (besides CBET and WKBD), and Youngstown weren't included
- WBNX (Cleveland's WB affiliate) was nowhere to be found in these listings

WWHO wasn't in the guide, but by then they were a secondary WB and primary UPN station.
