700 Club at 7 AM on KXTX??? Unusual - Usually that aired live at 10 AM eastern, 9 AM Central - CBN stations had cartoons in the 7 to 9 AM slot - I vaguely remember though CBN experimented in VA Beach in the SUmmer of 79 and moved religion to 7 AM and a movie late morning and that fall reinstaed cartoons. I guess KXTX did that as well.

Would love to have a schedule from November of 1979 from this market - By then three independent stations in Oklahoma City signed on - maybe one from 1981 - by then Tulsa had 2 indies sign on - When you can - Thanks - if you can

Was this a nightly program or a one-time special?

Was this a nightly program or a one-time special?

Probably a weekly program, since most stations were running different shows
at 6:30 each night at the time; the practice of "stripping" didn't really become
the norm until about 1980 or '81. In fact, I was surprised to see KOCO not carrying
"Tic Tac Dough" at 6:30 because I know they eventually did.

Also, I have in the past posted schedules from the 1980 TV Guide Fall Preview issue,
and will get up some from the '81 Fall Preview issue.

A disclaimer here: Many of the programs listed as airing on KSWO, KAUZ and KFDX during the afternoon and evening hours of April 10 likely never made it to air. April 10, 1979 was the date of the infamous Red River Valley tornado outbreak https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1979_Red_River_Valley_tornado_outbreak (known to Texoma residents as "Terrible Tuesday"), which produced tornadoes that hit Lawton and Wichita Falls (the former was an F3 that struck the southern part of Lawton, while the latter was an F4 that killed about 40 people in Wichita Falls -- most of whom died while, ironically, crossing paths with the tornado in their cars while trying to escape from neighborhoods they believed would be in its path). KFDX and KAUZ apparently were knocked off the air during their 6:00 p.m. newscasts that night when the Wichita Falls F4 tornado cut power to their transmitters; presumably, KSWO stayed on the air, since its transmitter was based near Grandfield, Oklahoma.
