Close but not quite - Channel 17 had religion from 9-1130 AM weekdays. They were quick to change shows around from 7-9 AM and from 1130 to 4 PM and from 10 PM on. They had pretty much the same schedule from the fall of 83 to the early summer of 84 from 4 to 10 PM. This schedule was from early March 1984. All the shows listed were owned by 17 at that point but not all were run at that time. You appear to have their summer lineup in some dayparts, fall line up in others. But the 9-1130 was totally inaccurate. Channel 17 had religion late mornings from the 70's to the early 90's.

Late in March Dennis The Menace was replaced with Mork and Mindy and in April Gomer and Dick Van Dyke replaced Mork as well as Beaver at noon. In the summer the schedule was switched around as usual and stronger shows were rested and other shows were placed in.

Channel 29 was real close - very few mistakes

Long time, no type... :)

Just a few cents to add here:

First, the WPHL programs formerly on the recently-defunct WKBS-48:
7:00 Mighty Mouse & Friends (included Bugs Bunny post 48 and Porky Pig pre 41 and post 48 and Casper as well)
8:00 Flintstones
8:30 Woody Woodpecker
11:30 Dennis The Menace (sitcom) cartoon would not exist for another 2 and a half years
12:00 Leave It To Beaver
12:30 McHale's Navy
2:00 Munsters
2:30 Popeye
3:00 Inspector Gadget (only on for a few months on 48)
3:30 Brady Bunch
12:00 BJ/Lobo
...along with Mork and Mindy and the Dick Van Dyke show.

Second, for clarity, Popeye on WPHL was the Paramount theatricals. Popeye on WTAF was the subpar 1961 King Features TV cartoons.

Yes, most of WTAF's 9AM-1PM block was network daytime castoffs from KYW and WPVI.

WAXA 40 (now WMYA My40) in Greenville, SC DMA carried "Facts of Life" daytime reruns at first before clearing by NBC affiliate WYFF 4 later on. WYFF carried $ale of The Century, and Search for Tomorrow of course.

Inspector Gadget was syndicated by Field Communications prior to the company being broke up and after that DIC. It never aired on Channel 48 because it was not in syndication until after Channel 48 went dark. But had Channel 48 stayed on the air they would ahve had Inspector Gadget.

Other shows Channel 48 owned but never put on the air with intentions of beginning to run them in teh fall of 1983 included Alice and One Day at A Time. They also had the rights to Fantasy Island and Thicke Of The Night. They were also set to pick up Bewitched which had gone from a cash syndicated show from Screen Gems and now barter from DFS.

Channel 17 would have had Love Boat and Little House had 48 remained on the air and Channel 17 remained commercial. One thing that almost happened was that Providence Journal planned to buy Channel 48, combine assets moving strong shows like Jeffersons and Threes Company and Barney Miller along with movies there. Channel 17 would have been sold to a religious broadcaster and become Christian full or close to full time. Wonder if ZDancin On Air would have gone to 48? Probably not on weekdays. Possible weekends. Little House? maybe - maybe not.

Right, forgot about that. Actually, WKBS did air the pilot a couple months before going dark, complete with an ad in TV Guide touting Don Adams as the voice of Gadget.

Other shows Channel 48 owned but never put on the air with intentions of beginning to run them in teh fall of 1983 included Alice and One Day at A Time. They also had the rights to Fantasy Island and Thicke Of The Night.

...and all three off-net shows did end up on WPHL.

...which also moved to 17 after a long run on WTAF-29.

I have read about that scenario. Makes for an interesting 'what if?'.
