you know...those linotype operators were old union guys who made a
helluva hourly rate! ;D

and yes, this should be Sept. 20. Sorry for the brain cramp!

Looks like the PG was having another one of their "too much ink" days.
They were quite common as I recall. Did not happen as much with the Press,
which was interesting as they shared a printing plant. (perhaps because it
was an afternoon paper and the excess ink had worked it's way out of the system
by then?)
