Retro Pop Reunion

This program has been around for about a decade now with Joe Cortez. It is pretty much a national variation of his local "Back To The 80's Friday Night." I noticed that they have expanded into playing more 90's stuff, and not just merely the early 90's like they used to do instead.

Another thing that I have noticed about this program is that they still use the same voice-over guy who Mix 98-5 was using during the mid-late 90's as well. Now, why have they never changed that at all? Is it because Joe Cortez primarily works at WODS (or at least the last that I knew), and perhaps uses different studios instead? Also, who is the voice over guy that they use as well?

I do not know, but it is definitely a guys voice though. When Mix first switched over to CBS, the announcer at the top of the hour announced "CBS radio, hey thats us!"

Really? I wasn't living in Boston at the time. That is so 1999. That's even more obnoxious than rap records that shout out to the label. Hey Akon, I don't need to hear the frickin' jail door closing on every record.

Before that it used to be a general announcement by the same guy and saying that they were part of American Radio Systems instead.

im from RI andi used to listen to the show on sunday nights on 92profm but i guess they droped it in favor of playing the repeat of AT40 from earlier in the day..... but i enjoyed the retro pop reunion what other stations in the area air it?
