Yep...I'm guessing they ran different seasons...

One question I have about San Diego/Tijuana back in the 70s and 80s. The listings back then never include Televisa's Canal 2 (XEW) or Canal 5 (XHGC), which were generally available throughout Mexico by the mid-70s via repeaters. Did Tijuana have repeaters of XEW and XHGC that early on that weren't listed in the San Diego listings, or did that area simply miss out on Televisa programming not cleared by XEWT locally? Although KMEX carried 24 Horas from Televisa, I would assume KMEX did not reach Tijuana.

Was CNN Headline News just a live raw feed of the network, off the bird?

XEW's programming was carried by XHAS 33 (over the air, not cable channel number) at the time from 1981 until they became a Telemundo affilliate in c. 1990. There was no carrier of XHGC in the 80s as far as I know in Tijuana. KMEX was carried on Cox cable 14.

I believe that if the Copa Europa was being played that day, it would have aired live at 11 a.m. West Coast time(2 p.m. back East). I remember that the 1985 debacle was aired live coast to coast on SIN(the precursor of Univision).
