Channel 22 should've said CBS, I'd think? As for those old call letter, were they once associated with WCAU-TV channel 10 of Philadelphia, in that station's CBS days?

My bad! Yes, WDAU-22 should have been listed as CBS.

As for call letters, you're right - originally, the station was WGBI-TV. It was associated with the Philadelphia Bulletin and renamed WDAU-TV after Philly's WCAU-TV in 1958. After being sold to Diversified Communications, it changed call letters again in 1986 to its present WYOU.

Would love Saturday and Sunday from that era as well. Thanks

No Mister Rogers?

That, and they also didn't follow the usual afternoon PBS schedule of the era -- Sesame at 4, Mister Rogers at 5 and Electric Company at 5:30.

I think this was also a time when WVIA was a regional "superstation" of sorts, with cable coverage as far east as Connecticut.

They would eventually place Sesame at 4 and MR at 5, but I don't think that happened until 1983 or 1984.

The days of them having unconventional programming are gone...The last holdout, I believe, was "Little House on the Prairie", which had aired at 5:00pm since September 1991 (replacing "Waltons" reruns which aired at 4:30 for two years). It exited the schedule in 2009. The 5pm-6pm hour is now filled by "Wild Kratts" and "The Electric Company". Oddly enough, WVIA is now one of the *few* stations airing Sesame at 4....

Ok, that's *two* mistakes.Good eye! Yep, at the usual 6:30pm time.

Small footnote: Down state, WHTM-27 aired the 6pm feed of WNT (opting for syndicated fare at 6:30...the last one being "Happy Days Again".
