I assume the episode on 12 is the same as 5, considering that ET was one of the earliest shows to be distributed via satellite.

The Times did not describe ANYTHING for KVOS. It probably was the same episode. The description for Arsenio Hall, also on 12 but also on 13, was 13's description, and 12 probably had the same episode that night.

Ah, the days when Seattle network affiliates were all lined up as if they were in a parade. Local 5-6, network 6-6:30, then back to local 6:30-7. This has changed. Also liked that Channel 11 was hanging in there with a 10:00 newcast, soon to be a CBS affiliate for a year or so.
No news on KCPQ 13, but they did have Arsenio. When did KCPQ begin their news operations?

When did KCPQ begin their news operations?

I think the "parade" of news stopped around 2003-04. By then, we had Ch. 4's national news at a different time.

KCPQ began in Jan 1998. They had a short-lived 10pm newscast when they were independent and still called "The Northwest's Movie Channel", but KSTW had better ratings. The morning show started in 2000 as "Mornings Live on Q" with Christine Chen.
