3 KGVO Missoula

This station is known today as KECI-TV, strictly an NBC affiliate. (KPAX did not open until 1970.)

That being said, I thought KGVO/KECI always broadcasted on channel 13 pre-digital?

By "all times local" do you mean the Montana stations times are Mountain?

Many of the prime time listings for 3, 3* and 5 would indicate as such (i.e.,
Disney at 5:30 MT, Sullivan at 6, SmoBro at 7--all live east coast feed).

Also a good number of delays from other nights here and there. What kind
of setup did Montana stations have then? Microwave feed from Salt Lake?
Were they able to tape-delay locally, or was a lot of the out-of-pattern stuff
on film, perhaps a week or two late?

To my knowledge you're right, there's never been a station on channel 3 in Missoula. Way too close to Great Falls. I would assume 3 is either a typo or a translator.

I was wondering about that one myself...the S-R had it listed as ch 3. There were 2 different sets of listings in the S-R...one for Spokane channels, and one for the other stations.
