Although until it became a UPN (and later My) affiliate in 2003, it would be listed as part of the "Though not listed in this edition" disclaimer, was channel 46 licensed to East St. Louis on the air yet in '86 with Home Shopping Network programming? If not, when did they sign-on?

Yeah, I agree, what hit song did The Beatles have back in 1986?

Was "Hit Makers" a regular program that aired weekly, a la "Night Flight"?
 
Channel 46 came on in 1989 as WHSL, with the Home Shopping Network. It became UPN and
changed calls to WRBU in 2003. Three years later, UPN went away and WRBU went with its
current MyNetworkTV affiliation.
