Retro: This Week in TV Guide, August 25, 1979 - MSP

I'd love to see some listings, especially since this two weeks ahead of the official network switch in MSP, but the stations were already shuffling some show in-beteen themselves in what I have inferred was a holy mess.

I'll see if I can get some up in the next couple of days. Anything or any night in particular you're looking for?

What shuffling was going on? I'm wondering if this set
a precedent for WSB and WXIA swapping parts of their
daytime lineups in August 1980, the last month before
they switched (Sept. 1).

Actually I gues I was a few months late... March 5 was the big switch.

According to this article -- http://www.studioz7.com/NewsNine.shtml -- it sounded a ittle less convivial than the Atlanta switches a year later. KMSP was tossed aside by ABC, which affiliated with NBC's KSTP; NBC went to then-independent WTCN, leaving KMSP without a network. KMSP started dropping ABC shows, promos, etc.
