Retro: This Week in TV Guide, October 23, 1965 - MN State Edition

Who knew that Chuck Connors and Leonid Brezhnev were such good friends? Plus football, Sullivan vs. The Palace, a planned space shot, and a potential shortage of movies.

Notes: It’s interesting how CBS and ABC have different ideas of how to spell Teenager – one word or two?
Channel 9 shows the medical drama The Eleventh Hour at 11:00am. Makes sense.

The songs from Herman's Hermits appearance on Ed Sullivan are on the "Ed Sullivan: The British Invasion" CD. I don't have it in front of me at the moment but I know the Hermits performed "My Reservation's Been Confirmed" and Ed remarked on Peter Noone's blue eyes being made for color TV. And of course the girls go nuts.
