Retro: Tri-Cities, TN/VA Mon, Mar 18, 1984

from Johnson City Press-Chronicle (whose slogan was "What the people don't know will hurt them"
Based on the cable conversion guide, the PC was sold in Kingsport as well, but I don't know what circulation, if any, it had in Bristol, the third piece of the Tri-Cities (the converter guide covered both of JC's cablecos (Sammons and American), Kingsport, Hampton, Mountain City, and Erwin)

7 WSPA-CBS/Movie Channel

As The Movie Channel was already a 24/7 service by that time, I imagine viewers tuning in to channel 7 and turning on their converter to watch TMC, which was how viewers watched pay channels before cable systems expanded beyond 12 channels.
