What was 23 Nite Videos? I am guessing it was some kind of music video show. Interesting that they chose to show that instead of ABC World News Now.

Yes. I watched it alot when I was young. Much better variety than MTV. Billy Soule was the host, but mostly it was just his voice. He also hosted an interview show "23 Music Magazine" I believe the show was around in some form up until PAX bought it out.

It was a locally produced music video show that was indeed hosted by Billy Soule (previously a DJ at WAKR radio and was one of the last music hosts on KQV in 1975 when they flipped to all-news). In the mid-80s, he did the show from 4:30–6pm and 7–8pm, which saved the station from haggling to buy the scraps of syndicated programming Cleveland stations didn’t want.

23 Nite Videos lasted until ValueVision bought the station in 1994. Soule himself remained until after Paxson bought TV23 and fired just about everyone.

(BTW, ABC World News Now has never been offered on weekend overnights, of which this listing covered.)
