Special: The Chicago Bears take on the Redskins in a pre-season clash in Washington. Chicago finished at the bottom of the NFC Central Division last year with a 4-9-1 mark. A passing attack that ranked dead last in the NFL was the Bears' downfall. But QB Bobby Douglass (10) compiled an impressive running statistic: 968 yards, an NFL record. Washington: They lost to Miami in the '73 Super Bowl, but the 'over the hill gang' may make it to the top this year. They've added Duane Thomas (47) to a backfield that's already explosive. RB Larry Browbn (43) won the NFL MVP award; Charley Harraway (31) is a premiere blocking back, and Billy Kilmer (17) and Sonny Jurgensen (9) give depth at QB. The Skins were 4th in overall defense last year. Pat Summerall and Ray Scott report the action.
