Although the $20,000 version premiered on ABC in '76, they were already running the $10,000 version when CBS dropped it after just one year. It ran at 4 pm for the last half of '74 before moving to this time slot for three years. It then moved to noon for the remainder of its run before returning to CBS.

Actually, $10,000 Pyramid was picked up by ABC in 1974, shortly after CBS cancelled it.

At the time, Canadian networks tended to air pre-recorded and filmed programs before they air in the US, sometimes up to a couple of weeks beforehand. They get the shows direct from the producers.
 
Nope. The Coronation Street episodes on 2/21 and 2/22 were listed as B/W as well.

I wonder why it was listed as a black-and-white show? Corrie was in color full-time since 1969 (apart from a period when union action in early 1971 took the show back to B&W).
 
I wonder if either CBUT didn't have the capability to air the show in color (but air most others in color), or they were running pre-1969 reruns.
