At the time, channels 27-32 were on a premium tier, and 34-40 were scrambled. 43-46 were on the basic tier. It was not long after this that CFMT moved to cable 4, which sent WSEE into the 20s. In the process I believe Homes Plus was moved to 36, and some other shuffling took place.

Note that CFPL/CKNX were simulcasting a lot of programming off CHCH at the time, and that extended to news - CHCH reports were seen on CFPL. CFPL/CKNX would soon be sold to Baton.

According to the cable grid at the time, Chatham and Sarnia were getting WGPR Detroit on their cable dial. Surprising.<P ID="signature">______________

Quite interested by these listings... These newscasts seem to roughly match the ones they offered immediately prior to the launch of CJMT (assuming Telediario is in Portuguese).

Now that I think about it, when I was on holiday in TO in the mid-90s, I seem to remember seeing a re-broadcast of a newscast from Hong Kong one evening when I stayed in. This may well have been the "Chinese Journal" listed here; I only wish I could remember more clearly. This leads me to wonder if the other 2 newscasts were also sourced from overseas, or if they were actually CFMT's own productions.

I remember Telesera, since it always followed The Simpsons in 1995; it was produced by CFMT.

Chinese Journal and Telejornal were also 47-produced as well. 47 had some interesting ethnic language shows...when living in TO in 1990, I once saw Japanese Journal-with a gaijin (Japanese for a non-Japanese person) co-host!
