Apparently, no one told the US TVG a year earlier, when Global bought CKVU and rebranded it as a Global station.

That being said, during CKVU's tenure as a Global station, I believe they were the only Global affiliate to be listed in a US TVG, as well as the only Citytv station to be listed, after Global moved to BCTV in 2001 and after CHUM bought CKVU shortly afterward.

Which practically said something about Pax TV and their financial fitness -- I read somewhere that Pax ended up buying trips for some winners when the producers failed to deliver.

Of course, by this time next year, Pax would be mostly-infomercials again, with non-infomercial programming restricted to evenings and prime-time.

Another thing to say: I was forced to take down anything past 6pm because I hit the 18,000 character limit for the first time. Never have had that experience before, however...

Were you attempting to do that in another post? Observing in other retro schedules, one thing that might help is omitting the description of episodes and programs, especially if they are repeats of network shows that are in syndication. Also safe to leave out is ratings information, show length, E/I & B/W indicators, and whether or not a show is live or a repeat.

Yep I was. However, my style of listings is adding episode descriptions, especially if it's a morning/late night talk show, or if it's a network show (not repeat). Think I'll leave out ratings, E/I, and show length next time, but I will probably keep BW as an indicator, only.

-crainbebo

I'm really due for adding 6pm-5am listings here. No show length, rating or EI indicator will be used, but I will keep descriptions.

Somehow, when Hawaii Five-O was on KONG-TV, they managed to get the prints that included the mid-show bumpers, which were normally left out of the syndication package. This clip, which features the bumpers, include a "KONG-TV" bug in some of them:

16 Hawaii Five-O
Death stalks McGarrett and a lovely witness to a gang slaying as they make their way from Singapore to Hawaii.

Somehow, when Hawaii Five-O was on KONG-TV, they managed to get the prints that included the mid-show bumpers, which were normally left out of the syndication package. This clip, which features the bumpers, include a "KONG-TV" bug in some of them:

Those clips looked like they were taped off very early in KONG's life. I can remember this logo on TV a lot: http://web.archive.org/web/20000301200659/http://kongtv.com/

By 2000, they had gotten rid of the classic TV shows, and were mostly talk shows/sitcom reruns. Seemed like 16 back in the day was an "Antenna TV" like channel.

What was the news schedule for KOMO at the time? I'm assuming that they aired Wheel and Jeopardy! at 7 and 7:30.

KOMO usually had news at 5, ABC News at 6, and news at 6:30. Wheel and J! were at 7/7:30.
