I'm surprised as an ABC owned station, WPVI wasn't carrying the full Mike & Maty hour at 11:00am, especially for Ricki Lake's show instead. ABC allowed stations to carry Mike & Maty earlier at 10am as WTVC in Chattanooga did. The early feed ended for the 11:00am hour when The View premiered in 1997 and was a live show.

WPVI started to air all ABC programming in pattern beginning in 1997, because it was forced by the network to do that. AM Philadelphia was moved to late nights (weeknights at 12:35am) and changed its name to "Philly After Midnight" and Ricki Lake's show was picked up by WTXF, the Fox O&O station in Philly.
