Then-independent WDBD (channel 40) had cartoons every weekday morning (6:00-9:00) and afternoon (3:00-5:00), and even Sunday mornings.

From September, 1986 to September, 1987, WDBD had aired Transformers weekday mornings at 7:30.

In the '86-'87 school year (I was in 10th grade), I watched Transformers every morning before going to school. I guess I was lucky. :)

Did they pick up "The $25,000 Pyramid"?

Sorry I meant did WDBD pick up $25,000 Pyramid in 1986-87 since WJTV preempted it (many independent stations picked up declined CBS/NBC/ABC programs through the 80's amd early 90's).
