Rev FM?

Re: Rev FM's Signal

How did I know it would be Steve Hilton that would make this kind of comment? Steve, why didn't you just call the man a hypocrite like you implied instead of making such a snippy back door comment? After all, it's a forum for ideas and concepts, questions and concerns. You obviously wanted to call him a hypocrite. So express your concern and say you think he's a hypocrite.

Christians aren't perfect. Don't makes implications based on the idea that they are.

Ren,

I have good things to say about other stations in this area. You just have not come across those threads. I think 3-WZ is a well structured station that certainly deserves the acolades it gets. I have some good to say about other stations as well and some other local air talent also.

And perhaps you have not heard me...perhaps you don't care to? I have said here before that there are those much better than me on the dial...but I think I hold my own as well. Go back into the Arbs from about 8-10 years ago and let them speak for themselves. I held down some very good numbers in my day when I did this full-time. Now for me, its more for fun and yes, I do think a LOT about the station I represent AND its staff and owner too or I would not be there. That's the kind of guy I am. If I do not like the product, I will not represent it.

And show me a guy in radio that does not have even a little tiny ego??? Its the nature of the biz!

Lastly, if you cannot tell that half my comments are made tongue in cheek...well maybe you need to google SENSE OF HUMOR and see what kinds of hits you get. Besides...if everyone tunes me out on this forum...how come people get so fired up and reply to my comments time and time again!!!

We are all having fun folks. Its fun to talk even if we disagree...now fire away!

Interesting...I think it deserves the "Luckiest Station of the Decade Award."

Yes, there you go, dig back into the Arbs. First go find a way to do it, then when you do, please report it back to us. Oh wait...better get the gazillion dollars it's going to cost you to pay Arbitron to pull the archives for you first. You'll need that in order to "go back into the Arbs."

> Now for me, its more for fun and yes,

Yes, but WE aren't having any fun now that you're back. That's just my own opinion. Please feel free to agree to disagree with me Hitman.

There are no tiny egos in radio. It's not the nature of the "biz" it's the nature of the art. Musicians, radio jocks, TV anchors, artists, etc. They all have egos the size of the Grand Canyon. It's not a bad thing, just a fact.

Here we go again...I'm still not having any fun...are we having fun yet?

Just like Froggy?

I have some old books. I bet a lot of people do. Mountaineer could probably find the 7:00 PM to Midnight 18-34 female numbers from that era. Not that there is a need. Steve did have good numbers.

Wrong. Maybe the majority of musicians, jocks, tv people, whatever have big egos. I've worked in radio a long time and I know some very good radio people that are socially inept and have no egos to speak of.

You make your own fun. Make some!

No, not just like Froggy. As much as I hate that stupid station, they have their (BLEEP) together and deserve every country bumpkin who gives them a piece of share.

I know he had good numbers, I was trying to make a point. Not everyone can just go back into the Arbs.

They have egos, you just don't know about them.

I'm having my own fun away from here...play among yourselves

If you ever do blow the dust off those books, it'd be nice to see if I could get a copy of those numbers from you. Its been a long while since I got to look at those. In fact, most remnants of those days are long since gone including all the old airchecks. That's one really neat thing with being back on the air, as my son used to ask me "Dad what did you sound like on the radio" and now I get to show him. I am just having one heck of a good time and for some reason that seems to drive people crazy. I don't get it.

At any rate thanks for permitting me for a moment to reflect back on what was a very fun time for me! Oops...better not go there...the old ego may be flaring up on me!
