Reverb on Kool 98!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone else noticed that Kool 98 (Lubbock) has reverb now?
Not only that, but it seems like it's been getting progressively heavier each day (tweaking, no doubt).

I love it, keep it up!
(Now if we could just add it to Z102 also...)

I'll swing an antenna that way tonight and check. Last time I was through there, they sounded very unprocessed. After KLUV the first part of the trip, the sound is pretty flat. I don't think reverb alone would help that much, but I'll give it a listen and see.

I have noticed they have tweaked their playlist. Not as much flip side clunker, a little more planning of the sets. Much better station than they were a couple of years ago.

The reverb is on the Voice Tracks, not on the chain. I should add that I'm not sure that all the shifts are using it. In fact, it was one of the jocks voice tracked out of market on the middays where I heard it. I have to see if Landon King has reverb also.

I didn't hear any difference last night. Of course, the fine points of an audio chain might not be as apparent after going 330 miles. But - the nice thing about deep fringe - no multipath because its a point source and not strong enough to reflect. I am now contending with IBOC trash on an adjacent station, so it makes Kool 98 a tough catch. Atmospherics were definitely working with me last night.

Does someone have an mp3 of this? I'm curious how it sounds.

Just FYI...the voice-trackers on Kool 98 (middays and nights)are from KBGO in Waco - a station with pretty good processing (mic and on-air). In fact, all of the CC stations in Waco have great sound quality.

Thumbs up. Sounds pretty crisp to me.
