Yet another contemporary rock station (sigh)!

If anyone has seen the ratings over the years, you'll already know that Mix is barely in the top 10 with the same rock you can get on 'BOS, the River, and four other stations I've yet to get to. OK, maybe Back To The 80s is keeping Mix in the top 10. My criticism (this from someone who - admittedly - was spoiled from listening to non-stop dance music from both Barry Scott and Vinnie Peruzzi): Back To The 80s sounds like it should be an 80s dance music, yet I only hear rock. To paraphrase Dick Clark's AB, it has no beat, and you sure as hell can't dance to it!

Next up - WPLM/Easy 99.1

If you actually listened to the station, you would find out that the station does have some variety to it, albiet rather generic. Also, you would be aware that BMX is the commercial version of BOS, and that 92.9 plays the songs that Mix plays a whole lot sooner as well!
 
Their morning show is a mess. Lander sounds too old and too tired. They surrounded him with a bunch of no-talent giggle-boxes who offer nothing in the way of entertainment or content. I guess they hired them to provide hip-factor? It's not working. Hasn't been for years. The station hasn't had buzz in years and the ratings reflect it. The morning show is supposed to set the pace for the rest of the station, and they're succeeding...the morning show sounds tired...and so does the rest of the station.
