REVIEWS: DON'T TRUST THE B..... IN APT. 23

Lots of T & A and funny :D .
Risque dialogue.
Clearly pushing some buttons and going to places sitcoms have not gone before.

KINDA LIKE WATCHING HBO ON ABC.

I give it two thumbs up! ;)

Made it 20 mins.

No laughs.

No compelling characters (although lead girl isn't bad).

No laughs.

Two thumbs down.

Sat through the first 10 minutes before going back to the computers.

It has the potential of "Cavemen", in the long run.

I mostly tune to ABC on Wednesdays for Modern Family, and Don't Trust the B---- wasn't change-the-channel-now bad. I'll probably be back next week.

I don't have much sympathy for those who have complained
about this show. ABC's promos clearly showed that it was airing
at 9:30/8:30 and that it was rated TV-14. That's the time for the
complainers to change the channel. I didn't watch the show and
cannot comment on whether or not it was funny, but I would have
had a pretty good idea what to expect. Sort of reminds me of the
controversy over "Soap" back in '77.

Virtually all the complaints have been about its lack of humor. It is supposed to be a comedy after all.

I watched the premier episode and episode #2 online last week. When "B" premiered lat night I watched it again.

I thought it was funny, although a lot of the jokes were aimed at 20 somethings........they
may have been over the head for some older fuss budgets on here though.

For a pilot, as most are not that funny but more explanation than anything else, it was
pretty good.....and much better than most of those New Girl, Chelsea like shows this year.

I think the ratings were stronger than the premiere of "Happy Endings" last year. Time will tell how well the show will do in the coming weeks.

Or.....the fuss budgets have probably heard what passed for lame jokes many times before. ;)

Many many times before.
Repetition may be the sincerest form of flattery, but it's the weakest form of situational comedy.

I laughed a few times. But this is the kind of sitcom that I'll watch if I'm bored and there's nothing else on. I can hear my late mother's voice in my head say - "Turn off that crap and read a book!" So I'm not proud.

But this kind of show to me is totally disposable. I'll occasionally waste some time watching it, but if it disappeared tomorrow, I wouldn't care at all. Maybe that's the problem with these new "edgy" and envelope-pushing TV14 rated shows. There's really no emotional involvement, or anybody to sympathize with. Just as I never cared for Charlie or Alan Harper as people, I don't care about these two women either.

I do like the show.
Is the actual B word airing during the show in the States? The Canadian station carrying the show does not beep it out...first time heard was when the neighbor whispered "Don't trust the Bit** in Apartment 23" as she quickly closed her door.

The only shock is that I may have been expecting the whole show to be more like the opening credits, where part of the comedy would have been to hit a buzzer or to have some other creative (seemingly accidental) sound effect replacing the word Bit**.
I'm guessing that still would have been funny! Like, if they're outside and a loud train rushes by blowing a whistle, or a truck honks a horn as the B word is said...or something like that.

Oh well...

I can't answer that question but can tell you that the phrase "SOB" is aired frequently in shows like "Two and a Half Men" and probably a lot of others.

So, I would think that the 'b-word' has been removed from the Prohibited List.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped.

Until the end Chloe was unworthy of sympathy. Fiunally, she made me feel something for her.

I did like that she appeared to be naked. Even if you can't see anything, that's always a positive when you look like her.

I was hoping they'd be more like the 2 Broke Girls. Those two have such great chemistry. Chloe is a mix of both of them but there's no chemistry.
