revised fcc site

i usually look on the fcc site for broadcast apllications and actions and for stations locations. i don't like what they did to thier site. change it back to what it was.

I made a similar posting elsewhere about this.

Taken a look at the new FCC website - I challenge you to find the “broadcasting” or “media bureau” pages.

It’s also interesting that the “Media & Marketplace” page says nothing about broadcasting.

When you do finally get to the vestiges of the broadcasting stuff, the pages are emasculated, thin on content, and seem heavily biased to the new initiatives…and especially the “blogs”.

This continued, apparently deliberate marginalization of our industry by the Commission is maddening. It would be less offensive to me if this were at least even handed and traditional broadcasting wasn’t being so seemingly deliberately written off.

The best feature of the new website is the "PREVIOUS FCC.GOV" button. They used to have "TELL US WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE NEW SITE" there on the first couple days. I think we must have told them a lot since they just linked to the old no-BS verrsion in that same spot on the site LOL!

Well, I just read at RadioWorld that the head idiot who came up with the website design has just exited the FCC. Hmmm.. Sounds like the backlash might have been a bit too much for them.
