has anyone else noticed KGAN shuffling the on air talent? what happened to brian allen anchor for what? less than a year? or chief meterologist mark anthony? at least those lame cell phone commercials are gone now. what is going down over there?
Mr. Allen was let go due to specific problems that were going on internaly. Mr. Anthony simply wasn't what they were looking for as a image anymore, they wanted to pick up on kwwl viewers that left after Ian left them....
Talking with Mr. Anthony, he told them that he was looking around when his contract was to be renewed so they went else where as well as Mark who currently works for Cumulus Media Fulltime in the Cedar Rapids Market.
a channel 2 reporter told me a couple of days ago several reporters in the newsroom want to leave as soon as they can.
he also said the news director there constantly threatens to fire people and replace them.
The latest reporter gone from the CBS2 site is Bigad Shaban. He now appears in the "On the Beach" section of TVJobs.com. Along with Brian Allen and Jennifer Stagg.
Looks like KGAN will add yet another anchor on September 4. Tim Seymour will join Josie Koler as the new evening news co-anchor. He was previously with stations in Minnesota and Kentucky.
Any other news at the station?
