Rewind 949 So Far

So, with Rewind being alive this far, what are your thoughts?

Here's what I got:

Imaging: A- Well-written.... straight to the point, professional-sounding.
Jingles: A+ I like them better than Q's and Q's are good!
Jocks: A+ TOP NOTCH. Would love to see it fully jocked. It already sounds like a CHR station in the 80s.
Interaction: A+ They're running multiple contests already. They sure are hitting those women.

So overall, an A+

I'm trying to think of their format. Can't quite call it Rhythmic AC. Isn't rhythmic enough. It's pretty AC, but there are a few songs that skew it away from that. Wouldn't call it Hot AC necessarily... not enough rock. I'd say Rewind AC. :)

They beat Warm in the book and are #2 in PPM (Q102 is #1, and they also beat KISS). Bonneville is doing WELL.

Thoughts?

I agree with the above post! I also give them an A with creativity! As posted above, it reminds me also of a well programmed 80's CHR.

Went to yes.com and saw there playlist and i do not know how you call this a decent station with good variety it is the same old tired songs you here all the f-ing time over the years. I would much prefer the sound or a good chr stations station.

Bring back The Sound.

While I can see Rewind being a good idea, I don't see why Bonneville decided to kill The Sound and keep The Wolf, which has failed to get any ratings for years. The Sound had a devoted following, and I wonder if any other companies around here will try an alternative format, but I won't hold my breath.

The Sound was changed due to Bonneville being a conservative company which inherited the alternative format from Entercom, 94.9's previous owner. Had they retained ownership, The Sound would still be around. Are they still running the Sound format on HD2?
