Rewind in N.N.E.

Are there any stations that could do it here? Are there enough alumni around and are there listeners that would care to listen.I remember WGAN,WCSH & WLAM doing"A thing of the past" weekends back in the eighties and they were pretty fun.WLAM did an April Fools one year and became WPNO from 10 years before.I remember Bruce Jefferson (Bruce Biette) doing weekends and evenings, when the sun set late enough,on daytimer WPNO.If someone in the Greater Portland area did it Joe McMillan could be part of it.He worked at most of the local stations.

i ran the board for two of three "thing of the past" weekends - actually WCSH was a weekend, and i board-op'd for Fred Nutter and Bruce McGorrill, JJ Jeffrey and Bob Fuller, Doug Lavalley (via taped greetings) and also Surfer Joe.

on WGAN i pulled board-duty for the "Gone But Not Forgotten" week. Bruce Stevens went on a station cruise, so they brought back more than a few luminaries, including Wally Brine.

there may be something like that in the near future, but i can only say it's something about which there has been a little talk, nothing definitive yet.

and there's a roast for Bud Sawyer tonight at the Portland Eagles, noting his 50-year broadcast career.

Better yet....how bout OKO rewind to "Rock 99" for a weekend.
Now THAT would blow a few minds, eh?

and maybe WHEB in Portsmouth could rebrand itself as The Star Station for a weekend and let Tom Bergeron and Duncan Dewar revisit a shift or two?

Eric Marenghi (sp) was also at 'HEB during that time wasn't he?
