Well that's good that they finally get some recognition in this era where local radio has just about dried up. When I was doing TV down in the RGV about 10K years ago, I remember them having a small town sound, but very professionally run. Charlie Rankin was the voice I woke up with (besides my wife ;D) and Davis did a lot by carrying on his father's traditions.
KRGV, KRIO, KRIX, even the real KBFM from Edinburg....they're all memories now. Even the little country guy in Ramondville, KSOX is nothing more than an ESPN translator. But KURV continues....thank goodness.
And if anyone knows....why doesn't KURV stream live? I would certainly like to hear what they sound like today.
