Not to many suprises. KVLY seams to continue it's downward spiral. Que' Pasa also is heading down that direction. Jammin' took a chunk out of alot of stations with both there Upper and Lower valley signals. Hot Kiss didn't do as well as i was expecting. KFRQ did really well.. they are holding there ground. (Rummor has it the beat 96.1 is considering Classic Rock?) KVNS suprisingly overtook KURV during the overnights. Johnny O and Wild104 had an awesome morning show.. took a chunk out of KKPS. KTEX took a small hit too now that south texas listeners have a choice in country music.

My observations:
KBGT & KKPS-No surprise there.
KFRQ-WOW! Doing good for a rock station in the RGV. I know several people that listen to the Q, they say the music rocks! The DJ's in my opinion make the station.
KBFM-correction here NOT POP-Took a big jump in the ratings good for them, with their wild morning show and rest of the day jocks. Good jump 4 them.
KTEX-Still a great station, I choose that one anyday over the that syndicated BS. They will always the RGV's NUMBER ONE choice for todays country!
KBTQ-Classic Rock huh? Well my friends all say there nweeds to be a separete station for todays rock and yesterdays rock. So maybe? Well anyways good job for the Beat, good station.
KVLY-Once again, please pick a format and stick to it. AC or Hot AC Country? Pop? good djs though!!
KJAV&KZSP-Itll take a while for the valley to warm up to this format not as big here as in SA or Lardo. Needs a morning show and night show.
KBUC&KVJY-Its alright FOR OLD FOLKS!! For us youngns we bash Real Country for live and local KTEX.
KQXX-Pointless goin on with only a signal that stretches from west of Mission to east of Harlingen, no Brownsville? Oldies just doesnt do well in the RGV.
KHKZ-This I could go on, Im sick and tired of this station. What happened to the liveness? There was never any! Voicetracked middays, evenings, overnights, ALL WEEKEND SHIFTS! except Saturday nights with JAY-Z, KLUB KISS! Anyone heard that show 80's 90's HIts mixed all 2gether! I have to say I do listen to the Morning Kiss w/JayZ & Amanda, Funny, Loud, Crazy? What do ya call it? I love it!
KVNS-I dont like that station either nothing liek KURV. Ill take KURV over KVNS anyday.

Well I done for now!

KKPS seems to be doing OK. They dipped a little, but are still # 2. Jammin doesn't do as well in the RGV as it does in SA. KTEX took a small hit, but they'll be OK. Hot Kiss is a dissappointment, as is KVLY. I don't see The Beat flipping anytime soon. KFRQ is kicking some ass! Who says Rock is dead??? KBUC is doing OK, a better signal would really help them out(Why is their tower 10 miles north of Raymondville, out in the middle of nowhere???) KVNS is in the toilet. The reason the beat KURV in the overnights is because they both carry Art Bell. 1700 has a better signal. KQXX does OK for a signal that half the Valley can't recieve.

My question is.....Could "Jack" be on it's way to the RGV?

I would have thought that maybe Univision radio would want to try "La Kalle" on 96.1 to go against KBFM since they are really playing alot of reggeaton. Univision Radio just doesn't seem to be a company that would try Classic Rock. I am not surprised with all the other stations numbers except The Q which is really impressive. I wonder if they will do anything to KVLV since they never move up in the ratings. It is just like Tony said, they can't decide to be Hot Ac or Mainstream Ac.
