RGV: Upgrading KHKZ 106.3

Clear Channel has filed an application to try to improve KHKZ 106.3's signal in the Valley. KHKZ will upgrade from a class A to class C3. To do so, it will change city of license from Mercedes to San Benito. So, that Mercedes still has a "local" station, they filed an application to change KTEX 100.3's city of license from Brownsville to Mercedes (no change in its facilities).

This has finally got aproved by the FCC. Now let's see if the funding comes through soon for the transmitter, antenna, and labor. With all the stuff going on in the merger, spending has been tight.

Also, i was able to aquire 3 RDS encoders from another CC market. The first one went on KHKZ, KTEX got the 2nd this afternoon, i'll probably end up sticking the last on KBFM but i ran out of cable. Like i said, spending has been tight. Hopefully completed in the next few days. They aren't the new fancy ones with PS_SCROLL but if your radio supports "Info" that magic button will give you the song/artist/album
