So what does Entravision do now?? They now know 100% norteno doesnt work in the valley, so what now? go after univison and flip to regional or back to Tejano?? there in a tuff spot...
 
I've often wondered why someone doesn't do a variety format mixing Tejano, Regional and maybe even Spanish pop playing whoever's hot with a lot of personality, entertainment news and fun promotion. It's essentially what KGBT-AM used to do back in the 70s when it had a 33 share of the Valley. Bring the format up-to-date and put it on a good FM signal and you may have something.
 
Why not try Tejano, Conjunto, and a blend of local artists? Nothing says "El Valle" like the sound of a bajo sexto and accordion. If I am Entravision, I start by cutting the god awful on air personalities. I really hate to rag on these folks, but Jesus Christ! They have to be the worst, THE WORST personalities anywhere. The mid day lady sounds like sand paper being grind-ed into rough steel and the afternoon guy sounds like a cantina drunk who cannot release a hiccup. They are better off going jock-less for God's sake! :-\
