Rhode Island 104 Audio Clip

Found this on a website I frequently visit. It's a DJ from Rhode Island 104 talking about a remote broadcast to be held the next day at the Grand Opening of the new AMES in Narragassant in 1986. (Sorry if this Connecticut native spelled that town's name wrong). Join them for the grand opening and enter to win a color TV and a VCR. ;D

Perfect timing. My Living Room TV died last weekend. Now I just have to finish building my time machine. :)

If Ames is out of stock, try Zayre.
RI104 was the predecessor to that frequency before WRX. I wasn't too crazy about the station, mainly because I seem to remember it being very danceable but Jonathan Monk was a great jock & they generally had a good staff.

...of Monk and Kelly fame. I know they were somewhere in Connecticut, last in Las Vegas, not sure where they are now.

I found this but the link is dated & they're no longer at this station in KC

Jonathan's name came up a couple of years ago on this board & I remembered someone saying he & wife Dianna Kelly were co-hosting a morning show in Kansas City. I also found something about them on KQOL in Vegas but they're no longer on that website either.
Donna Mac now at B101 & Red Decker also worked at RI104

...and don't forget Ulysses and the Saturday Night Party Thaanng.
