How would you grade the following talk hosts:
Dan Yorke, Matt Allen, Helen Golver,
Arlene Violet, Howie Bart?
Its really about WPRO and WHJJ talk show hosts.

Yorke - A
He's made a significant impact on the local scene.
Yorke is THE show among the movers and shakers in Rhody.

Allen - C
Like Matt but he's still learning how to do a daily show.
Love his passion even if I don't agree with his views.
He'll be fine.

Glover - C
As was the case with Matt I think Helen is learning how to be a
daily talk host. I like her intellect a lot. Think she can really
grow into the job.

Arlene - D
Arlene needs to move to Iraq since that's her obsession.
Sadly Arlene has gotten away from what made her so successful, going after the local hoodlums in our midst. Truly do think Yorke has completey taken the air out of Arlene's coverage of the local scene because he does his homework and she doesn't. It's too bad. Arlene was a pitbull in her heyday.

The man is beyond awful. He's a more politcal Dave Kane.
Just awful.

could be, but wpro lacks direction and focus, these guys need it, maybe he wins be default

Yorke is good but I think he has the potential to be even better. He needs to lay off the drama Queen act where he fake screams one second and then is calm the next. Those arn't real feelings. That's an ACT. Real emotions can not change so rapidly. When Howard Stern is upset and yells, It is REAL. When Dan Yorke is pissed it's usually a guy striving way to hard to be shocking. So I'm not fan of Dan's exaggerated anger. It's phony and I do not like Phony Radio. Dan's most overused phrases "BLANKIN" and "LORDY LOU". Maybe he will add some new phrases to the mix in 2006. Dan is also pretty one dimensional. If there wern't a such thing as politics I think Dan would be lost and almost have to struggle to complete a full broadcast. With all that being said.... I still like Dan. There is something comforting about him standing up for the people. His shows are well thought out and often interesting. He does a Good job. Even though I can pick a lot of negatives about Dan , I can also pick an equal amount of of Positives. He's decent talk Radio for the state.... until someone better comes along.

Matt doesn't focus on Politicians. He focuses on PEOPLE. This gives him a distinct advantage. He's the person you listen to when you don't want to hear old fashion Talk Radio. Matt Allen is talk Radio TODAY!

He's a grousing whining know-it-all.
Hell on earth is to be invited to a Violet family dinner party. ;-)
