Rich Brother Robbin returns April Fools Day 147KXOA

San Diego Top 40 radio nighttime legend Rich Brother Robbin returns to do his 1970's act, screaming his brains out just like he did back in the day on KCBQ this coming Thursday night (April Fool's Day evening).

Rich Brother will be smokin' on the radio from 6-8PM Pacific time Thursday night on The Giant X 147 KXOA www.147kxoa.com as an April Fool's Day special, taking you back in time to how he sounded in 1973 (though some of the music will be from later in the 70's). The music mix at KXOA is timeless Rock & Roll and Soul.

Set your Ipod transistor radio to 147 at 6PM April Fool's Day and let the fun begin.

That's great except, KXOA is not a San Diego radio station.
So except for people who hear the webcast, I don't think most San Diegans will be able to hear it (and I wouldn't expect many people to try to find a DX signal on AM).

So that's great for KXOA.
Where DOES KXOA broadcast out of, for that matter?

Garrett, KXOA is Internet only (so I guess about as many people in San Diego that can hear KSIQ can also get KXOA on the AM dial). KXOA is based in Sacramento and the original KXOA was one of the Top 40 giants in the 60's and (as KNDE) in the 70's.

I mention it on the San Diego board because more people would be interested in Rich Brother from San Diego than anyplace else (maybe Los Angeles as #2 since he worked at KKDJ and KIQQ and KTNQ up there).

So yes, you will need to listen to the stream to hear Rich Brother on April Fool's Day.

Relax, everybody. Let Rich rock.

It's like you're bitchin' about the color of Picasso's shoes. The man is a rock 'n' roll DJ legend, for goodness sakes.

I don't care if he's on an internet station or the other end of a Dixie Cup string. He's Rich 'Freakin' Brother Robbin.

KXOA was never a Top 40 Giant,In Sacramento KROY was number one

KXOA and KROY traded places several times in the 60's as to who was the #! Top 40 station. Some listeners preferred KXOA and others preferred KROY.

1470 became KNDE in the early 70's and KROY usually beat them then...but in 1975-76, KNDE topped KROY several times. But by 1977, KNDE was never able to best KROY again..

It was still a good Top 40 battle going on between the two stations in both the 60's and 70's though.
