Rich posted a picture today on Facebook dropping off his ABC15 logo shirts at a local Goodwill store. He later confirmed that he was shown "the back door" at ABC15.

Rich Dahlquist released from ABC15

If you watch some of the recent promos for ABC15 weather, you would think that there were only two people in the department, Amy and Amber. (I'm pretty sure this was taped while Rich was off due to the death of his father.) Just seemed like there was some writing on the chroma wall that his time at ABC15 was numbered.
I wonder if this means we will see the return of Randy Kollins to weekends? (ABC15 still has a job posting on their website for a weekend met...supposedly the 4th member of the team)

I guess I was right after all. I guess I'm so jaded by the game-playing in Corporate America that I assumed initially that they were replacing Rich. Then, my friends here pointed out that the ad was for the "fourth" member of the weather team.

KTVK is also looking for (1) an Executive News Director and (2) an Assistant News Director. Wonder what is happening to the current END Brad Remington?
Well, the 3TV position states that it will be both weekend mornings and evenings, which sounds like Brittney's position. Of course, it could also be April deciding to be a "stay-at-home" Mom for the time being and Brittney moving to the mornings. The job was just posted -- so it must be a new development!

Stephanie Sandoval announced on her Facebook page that after 5 years at ABC15, she was not offered a new contract and has left Sonoran Living. The ABC15 response on the show's page said that she left to pursue other interests.
Looks like they are cleaning house and hiring "less expensive" talent. (Is this to make up for the lost revenue from Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune advertising?)

You must be on to something. Instead of running more infomercials like other stations would, they are cutting the fat from their news department to make up for future revenue shortcomings after political has dried up for the next two years.
However, they have the "Show and Content Host" (Sonoran Living) position posted on TVNewsCheck.

If 3TV hired Dahlquist, I'm sure he would've have the 'limitations' that DeBerge has: can only work weekend evenings. Shipp is basically doing 6 days a week with only Monday off, so O'Kelley has to do weather that day. Dahlquist could take Saturdays and Sundays.
And DeBerge really looks young, he makes Rob Carlmark look like an old man!

Why? Rich had his "normal" shift on Friday and Saturday evenings doing weather (Remember ABC15 had the "A" Team in on Sunday evening) but also did bit reporting during the day through the rest of the week.
I know he has a couple of young sons but he has filled in both shifts during the week when the other personalities were off. I don't see why Rich would have limitations.
