Rich Shertenlieb leaving K.Kraddick-where to now?

Rich left 99x because they couldn't come to terms on a contract. Maybe they couldn't afford/didn't wish to pay what Rich was worth.

But with Crash gone now, perhaps they have a bit more "wiggle room" to possibly get Rich back in.

What source says Rich is leaving Kraddick's show?

In his letter...

"...I feel that it is time to check off the final thing on my list. To move on and do my own thing. It’s a plan that’s been in the cards for me since day one."

Doubt it. But weirder things have happened.

Even though Clear Channel seems to be cutting salary, as witnessed by what happened on Friday at WGST, how about Rich and Crash doing AM drive on The Buzz. They can move Whip to PM drive. A Rich-Crash duo could be the final nail in the coffin of the TJL morning show.

Since 99X was just sold, I am willing to wager there is a hiring freeze over there. I doubt Rich will be returning to 980 Johnson Ferry.

In a related story, Home Depot has taken all the toilets off display in their Atlanta area store.<P ID="signature">______________

Just spoke with Rich

Rich has indeed left Kidd after two-plus years and wants his own show. He and his agent Glenn Goldstein are pondering offers and he'll make an announcement in the next few weeks. He likes Dallas a lot and it sounds like he'd like to stay there though he didn't rule out a return to Atlanta.

Crash is not responsible enough to do 6 - 10 every morning. How about Rich being added to the Regular Guys though. Filling the SSS role albeit not as someone as dumb as good ol shirley but he certainly is adept at doing the outside bits that they seem to be sorely missing. Replace Jimmy aqnd Leslie with Rich and I think it would be a better morning show there but you are right are they really going to hire someone else at this time.
