WFTL/Ft. Lauderdale morning talk host Rich Stevens has dealt with some serious health issues in recent months and hasn’t been shy about sharing details with his listeners. First, Rich had his heart fixed, then he lost a bunch of weight and had his teeth whitened. Tomorrow, the talk host plans to go under the knife for a hair transplant that will be streamed ‘live’ via the Periscope social media app. Stevens reports that Dr. Glenn Charles of the Charles Medical Group in Boca Raton — who the talk host called “a surgeon in the top tier of professional hair transplant doctors in the United States” — will perform the 6-plus hour procedure. Saying the follicle upgrade is all part of his focus on getting a “second chance” at life after a tough health year, Stevens (pictured) added, “Of course I am nervous but maybe with the cameras in front of me it will make me more at ease. Or it could also show that I am a big chicken — which I can always blame on the anesthesia.” Watch the surgery (may we suggest well after breakfast!) @DrGlennCharles tomorrow (10/30) beginning at 10am (ET).
So either they are paying this guy WAY too much or there are a lot of doctor, hair transplant and dentist ads running on WFTL now.
