Richard Pryor (1940-2005)

I knew he had been in bad health for the last several years and had to stop performing, but this is still a shock.

Yes, he was controversial, but he also was very hilarious.

While he had his own short-lived TV series in 1977 that was dogged by controversy, he had several memorable TV guest shots over the years. And of course, he starred or co-starred in a number of successful movies.

The greatest comedian of all time. Period.

He'll be missed, but his comedy will definitely live on. And try as other comedians might, there will NEVER be another Richard Pryor--the original KING of comedy.

Rest in peace, brother Pryor.<P ID="signature">______________

He will sure be missed. He was a great comedian and actor. Was anyone up last night watching a reruns of Larry King Live? They were showing old interviews of Larry interviewing Richard. They showed an interview from 1995 and 1987. Very interesting to see the old shows sometimes. RIP Richard Pryor
