Nah, it's less about them being bible thumpers/hyprocrites and more about how they portray Alabamians as the usual ignorant, redneck, gaybashing racist stereotypes the rest of the country thinks we are.
It's one thing for them to be on regional radio, because we can only expect their kind of banal, sophomoric humor to flourish around here, but it's another thing for them to be on cable television for everyone to see.
