Do you think R&B will show up on 106.7? They did have so so ratings for Star. What could it hurt? I haven’t heard anything..but just have a feeling it could happen.

Why do that when you have talent in the building? If you look hard enough, you could find a morning show to build a type of rock station around. Or just go Latin and kill in the revenue department. Or wait until Darren and Willy's contracts are up and lure them away with promises of grandeuer. I have been told that there are a few rumors floating around, but I wouldn't take any of it to heart. You never know what Cumulus will do.

When Star died, I know several Rick and Bubba fans who begged Cumulus to air them at 106.7. At the time, I thought it made a lot of sense, to bring a show with a built-in following to a fairly new station trying to get off the ground. Either they thought the station was going to make a bigger splash than it did, or they just really wanted that "Nashville's Only 24/7 Sports FM" to stick in the faces of the other two sports stations. Yeah. That worked. (not).

I believe hindsight proves they really should have done it. Should they do it now? I dunno. R&B are enjoying a new rise in popularity. They lost a few stations last year, but in the past few months they've built their network back up to surpass last year's station count. They have a book with CD out that's done quite well, even hitting #1 on Amazon and Books-a-Million's most ordered books for a brief period of time. It might not be a bad idea to bring them back about now. But someone else besides 106.7 might be interested...

Talent in the building..are you kidding me..Cumulus is not known for having talent in the building..latest rumor is that they are trying to lure a certain morning host on WSMAM away to host the Sports Night Show..at least until Plaster is available!

If they were looking to capitalize on the female audience, that would have been a much better choice than Bob & Sheri. Unfortunately, they're probably locked into a contract with that show and won't be able to dump it for R&B.<P ID="signature">______________

That is what I was thinking, Who would try other than 106.7? Unless WKDF wanted to go down that road.
I know a week or so ago on R&B one of them had said something about a small chance in Nashville. (I don't like them but my wife does, she is still upset about Turner south going off the air!)

Good question. I can't think of any other station, either. I know some people who love Rick & Bubba, but personally, I don't get their appeal at all.
