Rick & Bubba to 93.9

Has anyone listened to these guys? All I have "heard" are the repeats on TBS. Is it me? I don't get it? I believe they are big in Alabama, but I don't see them making inroads in Cola.

Rick and Bubba would seem to better suit the classic hits format on 93.9 than Bob & Sheri. Where did you hear this from, and when do they start on WIGL?

> Agreed they probably are good in Alabama and not in S.C. they were on in Charleston on 107.5 I believe, drew poor rating s and were canned in favor of JohnBoy and Billy. I used to think Miller Comm. had it going on,but now I wonder. He claims to be putting out a quality product yet ratings in Columbia have NEVER improved. He seems to have a love affair with the Florence. WICI has done NOTHING in the market, why? 93.7 sounds canned and does fair, yet the rest of the group is brodcasting to the dearstands and empty seats at the racetrack... oh well.

I'm sorry, when was this exactly?

Must have missed the blockbuster stations he's helmed.

He has to be referring to Mix 94.7 when it was a Sumter Top 40 station. I used to be so jealous when that station was around because WAAW 94.7 in Williston always came in over it where I live. They were a very good, upbeat top 40 and after they changed that station, everything went downhill from there. They had a chance to make something out of the limited 93.9 signal when it moved to St. Matthews to serve Columbia. They could of tried active rock, spanish, hell any format as long as they marketed it better! When I turn it on WWBD 95.7 in Bamberg, they use Sumter/Florence ads in their commercials, and that is very very bad marketing.
